Get to know Juli Grbac

Juli Grbac is one of Australia’s most flexible designers, working across made to measure, ready to wear and uniforms as well as with Australian and International brands for the last 24 years. She is recognised as an Aviation Uniform Expert, being one of the two designers worldwide to have designed for two international airlines (Virgin Australian and WestJet). You might remember her for winning Project Runway Australia and featuring on Project Runway All Stars NYC. 

Juli’s work across all categories is known for making her client feel amazing, through the fabrication, tailoring, manufacturing and understanding women’s bodies of all shapes and sizes. Her work breathes new energy into the uniform and elevates the brand to be more competitive and recognisable particularly in aviation uniforms.

Over the last two decades she has had two of her own labels, Juli Grbac and Grace on Mercer. Both brands were distinctly uniquely in their personality and had clear visions for who the customer was and what drove her.

Grbac's journey began with the launch of her own label in 2002, where her unique vision and craftsmanship quickly set her apart in the competitive fashion world. Her designs, characterised by elegance and meticulous attention to detail, garnered widespread acclaim.

Her talent and dedication were recognised on a national stage when she won Project Runway Australia in 2008. This victory catapulted her into the spotlight, further solidifying her status as a fashion authority. A decade later, she returned to the franchise, showcasing her evolving style and expertise on Project Runway All Stars filmed in New York in 2019.

Transitioning her expertise to the realm of uniforms, Juli has made significant contributions to the image and identity of numerous international companies.
